Victoria Young is Head of Operational Finance at Astute People, overseeing the financial operations that support the business across the power and energy sectors. Since joining Astute in 2011, Victoria has developed extensive expertise in financial management, supplier liaison and client support, helping ensure the organisation operates efficiently and effectively.

Specialist in Operational Finance

Victoria leads the Finance Team, managing day-to-day financial activities while also handling supplier communications and chasing outstanding payments. Her background in Business and Accounting, coupled with being part-qualified AAT to Level 3, gives her the technical grounding to maintain precise financial control and support effective financial operations. She is currently working towards gaining her CIMA qualifications to further enhance her expertise and professional development.

Victoria joined Astute in September 2011 as Finance Manager and has developed extensive knowledge of the business throughout her career. She is well versed in all aspects of Astute and has become integral to the company’s financial operations, supporting recruitment teams across the power and energy sectors.

Life Outside Work

Victoria is also a qualified hairdresser. Now that her daughters have grown up, she enjoys socialising with friends, spending time with her cat and catching up with a good book or film. A Harry Potter fan, she identifies with Gryffindor. She hopes to travel to Bali or the Caribbean — anywhere hot.
