Unforgettable Trips and Experiences, a look back at Astute incentive trips overseas

Every year, Astute celebrates the people who go above and beyond with incentive trips that are genuinely memorable.

Here’s a quick flashback to three of our recent overseas trips.

2025, Switzerland, Interlaken, Jungfraujoch, and a canyoning day they won’t forget

If you’ve never been to Switzerland, it’s hard to explain how it feels when you see the mountains properly. Everything looks unreal.

They stayed in Interlaken, which is basically adventure headquarters. You wake up, open the curtains, and instantly feel like you should be doing something that makes your stomach flip.

One of the standout moments was taking the train up to Jungfraujoch. The journey’s part of the experience, watching the views change as they climbed higher and higher. Up there, they did the sightseeing, played in the snow park, and took the kind of photos that don’t need a filter.

Then came canyoning, which was the complete opposite vibe. Ice cold water, tight canyon walls, abseiling down through the canyon, swinging from ropes, and doing the kind of things you wouldn’t normally volunteer for. It was pure adrenaline, and it’s the sort of day that brings a team closer fast.

2024, Dubrovnik, Croatia

In 2024, they headed to Dubrovnik for a proper reset, sunshine, sea views, and the kind of old town evenings you don’t forget.

They stayed at the Valamar Argosy Hotel in Lapad, just outside the centre, with stunning views across the sea and the surrounding islands. The first day set the pace, pool time, switch off, then dinner at Peppers Eatery for small plates and cocktails, which ended up being the top food spot of the trip.

The next day, they took the bus into the city and wandered through the old town, ice creams in hand, before finding a bar built into the city walls and rocks. That became the photo spot for everyone. They then walked the city walls, stopping for drinks on the way round, with views that didn’t feel real. After that, things split, half the group ended up in an Irish bar watching football, the other half went off for a quieter dinner, then later they were all back together playing cards.

On the final day, they walked the coastline, stopped for coffees, and headed back to the hotel for lunch. Then most of them found a rocky stretch of coast and spent the afternoon jumping into the sea, while Matt went solo and took the cable car. That evening, they went back into the old town for drinks at another bar tucked into the walls and rocks, followed by a sunset cocktail cruise, and a steak dinner to finish it off.

If there was one standout moment, it was walking the city walls, the views were unreal.

2023, New York

In 2023, they went to New York.

It’s one of those places where the energy hits you straight away. They definitely visited the Statue of Liberty, which is a proper bucket list moment when you see it up close. New York’s the type of trip that stays in the group chat long after they’re home.
