Following a recommendation, Astute's Managing Director Terry Buckel met Mitsubishi Corporation's Japanese procurement team on site in Eemshaven to understand the recruitment requirements, project programme and workforce challenges — chief among them creating a compliant route for experienced UK power generation commissioning professionals to work in the Netherlands.

Working closely with the EPC contractor, Astute developed a dedicated crewing strategy through our contract recruitment service, focused on sourcing experienced commissioning specialists from the UK power sector, combining sector knowledge with international mobilisation expertise to identify candidates capable of integrating quickly into a live construction environment.
Nine specialist commissioning professionals mobilised
Astute successfully recruited and mobilised nine commissioning professionals — Commissioning Operators, PTW Engineers, Electrical Commissioning Engineers and Mechanical Completions Engineers — each selected for proven experience within CCGT commissioning environments.
