Astute's Anaerobic Digestion Team is working exclusively with a company in the Irish biomethane market to source a Plant Manager / Production Manager / Production Director for their asset near Dublin. The company are at the cutting edge of the biogas scene in Ireland and this is a unique chance to take full accountability for a site in Ireland.

The Plant Manager / Production Manager / Production Director role comes with a salary relevant to your experience and likely between €75,000 - €100,000 plus package.

Responsibilities and duties of the Plant Manager role

Reporting to the Operations Director you will:

• Running and having full accountability for the anaerobic digestion plant, its performance and a multi-disciplined team up to around 25 people
• Working with the feedstock team to ensure organics in and out are well-forecasted in line with processing capability
• Maximise the safe production of methane by always looking for continuous improvements to the plant
• Oversight of the SCADA monitoring and alarm systems to maintain uptime
• Oversee maintenance schedule for all key kit on site, including CHP and the upgrader
• Be the main point of contact for all external bodies and regulatory compliance, including the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM)
• Oversight of daily system checks, FOS/TACs, gas quality and ensure all reports are uploaded
• Complete monthly KPI reporting to include energy consumption, yield, cost per ton pasteurised etc
• Work very closely with the Compliance Manager to ensure a safety first culture
• Assist and work with the Sales Team to ensure feedstock quality and quantity
• Oversight of all production and financial reporting to be completed on a month-end basis, analysis against rolling forecasts and agreed budgets
• Strategic reviews of KPIs, daily SLAs and people development

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Previous experience in anaerobic digestion or energy from waste
• 5 years+ in managing a similar asset
• A higher education in a relevant field, ie engineering
• Mobile plant certified, or able to obtain this
• Proven experience managing and developing a team

The Plant Manager role would suit someone who is:

• Up to €100,000 basic salary, depending on experience
