Commissioning Engineer – RNG / AD – Controls & Instrumentation.

Astute People is partnering with a leading global engineering business focused on RNG/Anaerobic Digestion plant & technology development to recruit a Controls & Automation focused Commissioning Engineer to cover North America.  

This Commissioning Engineer position comes with a salary up of $120,000 to $140,000 bonus structure and benefits.

Responsibilities and duties 

 

Reporting to the Director of Commissioning and Operations Support you will: 

 

• Travel around North America, commissioning equipment on RNG, Anaerobic Digestion and Gas Upgrader plants.
• Interpret P&ID’s into complete automation systems.
• Develop and amend PLC / DCS controls.
• Design and develop software applications.
• Implement control methodology across DCS, PLC’s & HMI platforms.
• Work with systems such as (ABB, Emerson, Honeywell, Rockwell, Siemens & Valmet)
• Work with visualization systems such as Factory Talk, Wonderware, WinCC.

Professional qualifications 

 

We are looking for someone with the following: 

 

• 10 years experience of process plant automation systems.
• Experience working on / commissioning RNG / AD plants.
• Direct experience leading start-up and commissioning operations.
• Experience editing and implementing DCS, PLC & HMI programs

Personal skills 

 

The Commissioning Engineer role would suit someone who is:
