Controls Engineer – Power Plant

Astute People has partnered with a Natural Gas & Coal power plant owner and operator to recruit a Controls Engineer for its plant in South Arizona.

Responsibilities and Duties 

 

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will: 

• Design, program and maintain logic-based control systems.
• Troubleshoot on control systems (PLC’s / DCS)
• Work with the wider maintenance and operations teams to ensure that the power plant is well-maintained and operational.
• Supporting and maintaining IT assets.
• Develop and implement new plant control processes.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following: 

• A Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of power plant operations and procedures (Desirable)
• Strong background in IT systems and Microsoft operating systems.
