Instrument & Controls Technician Job in Massachusetts
Williams College has partnered exclusively with Astute People to recruit a skilled & dedicated Instrument & Controls (I&C) Technician to join the Heating & Power Plant team in Williamstown, MA.
This role will improve plant efficiency, reduce reliance on outside vendors & ensure compliance with state licensing requirements. It’s a unique opportunity to join a tight-knit, supportive team & contribute directly to the college’s sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform annual testing & calibration of instrumentation & associated control systems.
- Conduct repairs & assist with boiler combustion tuning.
- Serve as Lead Operator when required, ensuring compliance with on-site licensing requirements.
- Help maintain a safe, efficient & well-maintained plant environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Second-Class Engineer’s License in the State of Massachusetts (required).
- Licensed Electrician in the State of Massachusetts (required).
- Ability to work a demanding schedule as needed.
- Strong teamwork & collaboration skills.
- Experience in plant operations, maintenance, or a related field.
